Under the condition of drastic competition in transportation market the railway freight station appeared so strait. The mode of railway network management separating from railway transportation management put forward recently makes the railway freight station face the complexion of how to develop in innovation .The traditional transportation enterprises must achieve the tactical changes in management system and management mode in the face of the need brought forward by social economy development as well as the external and internal competitions. It's not only a challenge but also an opportunity. The Modern Logistics' springing up provides the railway freight station a chance to change. Modern Logistics has become a most economical and reasonable integrated service mode in decades. It's an inevitable trend for freight stations to quicken the transform from the traditional transportation enterprise to modern logistics enterprise which can provide more kinds of service and finally become the main Third-party logistics service body.Based on the condition above, this article confines research content on railway freight stations and the Third-Party Logistics. By researching the relationship between railway freight stations' transform and the development of the Third-party Logistics this article intents to integrate both of them and improve working benefit of transportation enterprises so that modern logistics industry can be development. What this article mainly discuss are as follows: 1.Situation of the railway freight station and the challenge it facedThe market share possessed by railway freight transportation is decreasing because of the increasing development of the integrated transportation system. The railway freight station hasn't broken the way from old management system of planned economy period so that it can't achieve the anticipative purpose in despite of spending large number of energy in order to reform. The development about economy and technology don't need a transportation enterprise with single function but a enterprise which can integrate several service including modern transportation. distribution, information network, warehouse management and distribution processing, etc. The mode of railway network management separating from railway transportation management put forward stares the railway freight stations in the face of orientation. Only relying on the superiority itself and developing to the Third-part)' Logistics can railway freight stations go out of the corner and realize new development. 2.The third-party Logistics and its' developmentThis part of content is the academic base of the whole article. Begin with the development condition of the Third-Party Logistics in internal and external, it discusses the necessity and feasibility of development. Then the proper development thoughts will be brought forward combined with different developing mode.3.Consideration about railway freight station's conversion from traditional transportation enterprise to Third-party LogisticsBased on the developing theory discussed and analysis of freight station's situation, the article will bring forward proper developmentthoughts according to the problems faced and conditions of factual production and management. This part analyzes the difficulties on software and hardware environment during the reformation, and the proper transform method should be taken. At the same time it gives conceive of the information platform's construction.
