Building A Moderately Prosperous Society In The Domain Of Science And Technology Innovation

Today in the world,science and technology (ST for short) is brewing a new great breakthrough. A new revolution of ST and industrial revolution are gestating. It will affect directly the course of building a well-off society in an all-round way and quickening socialism modernization whether we can catch the opportunity, moving innovation of science and technology (IOST for short) forward vigorously. Innovation is the soul of a national advancement and an inexhaustible motive of a country. As one theme of the present time, innovation is a hot topic of discussion in academy . Innovation includes theoretical innovation, institutional innovation, IOST, cultural innovation and other aspects of innovation. Among them, it is IOST that will make ST become a powerful impetus in the development of our country in 21st century and a leading force of economic development and social advancement. The first part tries to compare the meaning between scientific innovation and technological innovation, and then point out the connotation of IOST so as to clarify scientific innovation , technological innovation and IOST. Based on the above fundamental concepts, the second part discusses gradually that IOST has a great effect on economy, politics, culture, overall nantional strength in the course of building a well-off society in an all-round way. First the paper discusses in detail that IOST functions in economic growth: IOST is the sole route of changing the mode and gaining high quality of economic growth. IOST is the source of impelling economic growth and powerful force of realizing industrial upgrade. IOST is the fundamental reason of maintaining economic sustainable development in the world and urging the economy based on knowledge to happen. Then the paper discusses simply IOST functions in political reform and democratic building, developing cultural industry and impelling cultural prosperity, boosting up overall national strength and enhancing our international status. The third part is a conclusion from the above two parts: because IOST has great effect on economic growth, political reform, cultural development and overall national strength, we must push IOST and build up a system of IOST which is fit for building a well-off society in an all-round way. One on hand ,we should build and improve the system of IOST , especially building a system which covers countris, regions and enterprises.
