Thinking On The Development Path Of China's Chain Retail

As the bell rang for the new year, it has marked the third year since China joined the World Trade Organization. During the three transition years, Chinese retail industry was growing at high speed under the swaddling environment when confronted with the foreign investment and multinational firms'rapid expansion. In view of the reality that great pressure has come from the foreign enterprises, one would wonder about how Chinese firms would survive in the fierce competition. The development of Chinese retail industry has become a major interests among the discussion topics of many academics and entrepreneurs. Many articles relating to the development of Chinese retail industry has been published, however, the majority of them are either research oriented which are too superficial or limited to formality. They lack of detailed case studies, especially when it comes to introducing creative management systems. The first chapter of this article provides a brief introduction of the basic chain-retail theoretical framework, including the development of the chain-retail industry and various operating formalities that provide a basic for the search. The second chapter analyzes the current international chain-retail industry development and future trends. The third chapter analyzes the current domestic chain-retail industry development and challenges that it is confronting. The fourth chapter of the article employees my own experiences during sutdy. A lot of first hand information was obtained through working experience at C chain store company retail stores. The chapter presents the core competitive ability and many well-known management methods of the retail giant. In the fifth chapter, many new ideas regarding the development of Chinese chain-retail industry were raised. Among the creative ideas, I have concluded detailed quality-driven profit-oriented development schemes with integrated corporation expandsion methods based on my personal practices and thorough analysis on previous studies conducted. There was an old saying that is "understanding yourself and opponents well would secure winning each time".
