Mass-production and standardization will be the inevitable trend of development of automobile industry worldwide and China is no exception. As the 30%~40% high-speed growth is unlikely to sustain for a very long time, while the science and technology keep evolving extensively and tremendously, those who invest in this field blindly to pursue short-term high profit can only swallow the bitter fruit of low-level redundant construction.Traditional operation mode in the after-sales service market is out of date and it has been all but impossible for any business to fully develop by virtue of the accumulation of profit of its own. Thus, the mode of business chain is the only wise way out of sustained and healthy development.Currently, with the pending termination of the 3-year protection period of WTO, and foreign magnates scrambling for land tenure in China, the market competition is extremely fierce and the Chinese chain industry of auto repair is suffering an unprecedented pang. Although the number of auto repairing factories and garages in China can top the world, none of them is competitive enough to peer with oversea counterparts.To be able to catch up, the Chinese chain businesses of auto repair must deal with the various disadvantages of their own and grasp the core concept of chain operation. By following the rules and regulations of the market, they should break out of local and industrial blockade and adopt such modes of capital management as merge and acquisition to enlarge and strengthen the Chinese chains of auto repair.The chaos in the auto spare parts market is a big factor in hampering the development of the chains of auto repair. To address this situation, the Henan Volkswagen Auto Accessories Service Co. Ltd takes advantage of its unique superiority in accessory management and repairing techniques and adopts such standards as "8 Unifications" (unified image, unified quality standards, unified supplying channel, unified pricing policy, unified managerial mode, unified service norm, unified supervision and evaluation, unified advertisement) and "10 Supports" to manage its chain stores in a unified and networked way.This paper has conducted the feasibility study on the development of Henan Volkswagen in such aspects as the status quo of auto repair at home and abroad, case study of previous failures, the reasonability of the programs and so on, and put forward suggestion that Henan Volkswagen Company make corresponding preparations in every aspects at the beginning of its development in order to ensure a complete success for the FC project of auto repair.
