Outline Of China's Current Class Issue

Class is often thought as a political term when people mention it. However, class is actually an economic conception. The reason lies in the followings, class does not exist at the beginning of the society. It is absolutely the result of productivity developing to a certain extent. The differences between social classes are determined by their status in social production. The inequality in economy is the resource of class struggle. Only a full-developed productivity can eliminate the differences between social classes.After the third plenary session of the 11th central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, great changes have taken place in China because of opening and reforming.Based on the analysis on the current society and on the developing and inheriting of the class deformation of Marxism-Leninism, based on the theory that division of labor is foundation of class division, and on a new comprehension about the scientific definition of class of Lenin, a new standard of social class division is reestablished, which is based on the situation of possession of organizational resource, economic resource and cultural resource. Now come the ten classes in China social as listed below: civil servant, manager, the owner of private enterprise, technical personnel, office worker, individual business man, commerce and service personnel, industrial worker, agricultural worker, the unemployed, the semi-unemployed in city and countryside.
