Mechanism In The Process Of The Legal System Of The Shanghai Cooperation Organization

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a formal regional intergovernmentalorganization, is created by China, Russia, Kazakstan, Kirghizia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan inJune, 2001. Since its foundation, SCO has bent itself to system building and legal orderconstructing all along. It has formed regular summit meeting system。 Shanghai CooperationOrganization Chapter, regarded as a constitutional document, which exerts great impact on thedevelopment of SCO. So far, SCO has obtained many breakthrough in the fields of securitycollaboration and economic cooperation constantly. SCO's unique system building andevolving course established a model for the other regional organizations. This article, adoptingthe theory of international organization law, attempts to discuss the characteristic, legal status,organization structure and legal order in a comparatively dynamic way. In addition to it, thearticle probes into the legal order in the fields of security collaboration and economiccooperation within SCO framework.
