Since its establishment, Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) has set out that its member states shall cooperate in their common endeavor of cracking against terrorism. Acting in accordance with the UN Charter, SCO and its member states have made constant efforts on improving the anti-terrorism mechanism under the organization, bearing in mind the goal of eliminating terrorism and bringing sound rule by law to this region and even to the world. At present, terrorism forces are still on their top, occasional volatility happens to the cooperative relationships between SCO’ s member states and more measures still need to be taken for the function of the organization to be fulfilled and its ultimate goal realized. Fortunately, SCO and its member states come to be aware of the possibility of eliminating terrorism in a systematic way and the ways to make it real. A series of legal documents formulated by the SCO and its members and verified by the latter plays a paramount role in the SCO and its member states’ anti-terrorism operations, which also demonstrates the great responsibility each state as a member of the international community takes as well as their confidence of making this world a better place.
