The Fourth Plenary Session of its Sixteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China focused on deliberating proposals of building a harmonious society. It reveals that the social relationships are complicated and varied and one important social relationship is labor relationship, and so constructing a harmonious labor relationship is essential to build a harmonious society. With rapid development of society, China's labor relationship is constantly developing, changing from the government-control-oriented in the planned economy to market allocating workforce in the market economy and containing many new contents of labor relationship such as income distribution, social security, etc. The changes of labor relationship bring about a great many new labor issues, and meanwhile how to deal with these problems is closely associated with social stability and harmony and building harmonious labor relationship.On the basis of the development and changes of labor relationship in the new times, the thesis analyzes the importance of constructing the harmonious labor relationship and cites and analyzes all kinds of old and new problems existing in labor relationships horizontally and vertically. The thesis focuses on analyzing the security of women's right to work, the guarantee of peasant workers' right to work and the trade unions' deserved position and important role in constructing harmonious relationships.
