Coal Miners In The Social Transformation

In this dissertation, I study at minors from the perspective of history, mainly focusing on their change and their real situation during the course from planned economy to marketed economy. And on the same time, owning to the change of system of hire worker, there is a new situation of original workers flowing out of the enterprise, and new workers flow in the mine in great of numbers. During the course, the new workers recover the new and high social situation, maintain and extent their social network by their diligent working.After the comprehensive investigation miners" life, work and ideas, I have found that their condition of living and work surroundings have improved greatly. But the fact that they are still on the bottom of the social rank is not change. Especially, while the people who live in the cities do not choose the miner as a job, the peasants living on the rural take the job gladly, and consider such dangerous job as a good job. What make that situation occur? I do not think the reason can be see completely under the economic person theory of the economic anthropology. So, I will explain the reason by karl polany's economic anthropology theory of pragmatism. Only by it, we can see the true truth. After the investigation and the instruction of the theory, we can understand the true social meaning behind the facial purpose of pursuing the money. The reason partly base on conventional conception on the familial kindred, partly is that they want to pursue themselves and want to keep up with the marked economy. They comprehensively considerate earning money, pursuing themselves and catering to the marketed consuming culture initiatively. This is, their frustration coming from the course of the work or their lifeis alleviated greatly by the desire of getting upper the social rank and initiative to keeping up with the merchandise society.So the following is my paper's construction frame:The first chapter is the introduction of the paper, mainly including study cause, domestic and abroad relative study, correlative theories and study methods.The second is some background information of my study field, including formation and the development of the mine area and conception of miner and mine area.The third mainly focus on the miners' concrete situation about miners live, work and ideas during the course of social transition from the planned economy to marketed economy.In the forth chapter, I pay attention to the new characteristic──peasants coming from the rural area become the new miners and theoriginal miners flow out of the mine──during the gigantic socialtransition.The last one is my paper's conclusion part.
