From The Technical Power To The Power Technology

The relationship between technology and power is an important issue in modern time. It belongs to the international field of multi-subjects. The research on the relationship is of great theoretical and practical significance. This relationship concerns not only modern technological philosophy, but modern politics and authorities. It is the focus research of the western developed countries.Based on the description of the historical changes and characteristics of technology and power, this article tries to interpret and explore the complicated and interactive relationships. Firstly, the text analyses how technology gets close to power gradually and owns power and changes into technological power finally. Secondly, the paper shows us how power takes advantage and then controls and monopolizes technology, transforming from a tool to power. Thirdly, the paper is about the analysis of the source and phenomena of the alienation of modern technology. The causes of this alienation are mainly the followings: unlimited expansion of human technology, irrational capitalist system and the capitalist mode of using technology. In order to solve the problem of alienation against technology, the paper shows us some corresponding countermeasures, including: technology should be liberated from the control of capitalism; reforming and perfecting the social system and embracing the concept of technology serves mankind etc.
