| The present paper analyses the features of religious development in Chinese rural society and its causes as well as its positive and negative effects, investigates the efficient strategies to guarantee the region and rural society fit in withy each other in an effort to provide theoretical enlightenment for the building of harmonious socialist new countryside. The paper contains mainly the following parts.Firstly the paper narrates the features of the development of rural religious forces and proposes that the rapid development of religious forces is closely related to its theoretical system and organization, in addition to the profound economic, political and cultural influences.Secondly, the paper puts an emphasis on both the positive and negative influence the rural religious force has on the rural society. On the whole, we can conclude that both the positive and negative influences exist. On one hand, development of religious force is helpful in stability and development of the rural society and can enhance the unification of the various classes, communities and people of different nationalities and thereby a fine social mode. On the other hand, religion also exerts negative effects on the rural society. The development of religion weakens the authority of fundamental institution and further affects the stability of the countryside.The last part of the paper investigates how to enhance the harmonious development of religion and the rural society. We hold that we need to be rational to achieve the purpose and find the fitting point for religion and the rural society. We must first set up an ideological system to advocate love to the country and the religion, unification and progress. Besides, we must make sure that the ability of fundamental organization to manage the religious affairs be improved. Moreover, we should work hard to develop the economy of the rural areas and create fine cultural environment to reinforce farmers' belief to the science. |
