| The freedom of migration is the basic human right in modern society. It is also a basic citizen right and political right taken by citizens. Our central government considers constructing harmonious society as a significant position, while adjusting the relationship between cities and towns is the key of it. Nevertheless citizens are incapable to migrate as their wish is one of the reasons causing disharmonious society. With the development of opening up reform and market economy in China, the sustaining "farmers' frenzied hunt for work in cities" raises the population flow in China. Though in recent years our government, to some extent, accepts the truth of citizen migration, however, lacking of sufficient freedom to migrates is still the barrier of the development of the society in China, due to the proper protection of constitution and relevant law to the freedom of citizen migration, as well as the limitation of the migrant citizens. Consequently, recording migration freedom into constitution turns into an imminent and inevasible issue in China. Chinese present constitution should resume migration freedom, and construct corresponding law protection system, regularize citizens' migration action, guarantee their freedom of migration right. |
