China's Environmental Protection Laws Under The Framework Of The Wto Study

In the past several decades, globalization of trade brings full speed development of economy to us. When people enjoy the prosperity, they have to face the huge change of world environment. The environmental protection is paid more and broad attention to, especially relevant to the trade. The relationship between environment and trade is very complicated. On the one hand, the development of trade can make natural resources be fully utilized and installed effectively in the global scope, and finally achieve sustainable development. The expansion of trade can also provide more environmental financing, to help improving and protecting our environment. On the other hand, development of trade can bring about environment polluted and ecosystem destroyed, which will threaten the human's existence.The first part of the thesis mainly introduces the environmental protection under multilateral trade system of WTO frame .And analyses the relationship of trade and environmental protection. The reason environmental protection influents free trade, that mainly because many countries use environmental protection measures to establish non-tariff barrier.The second part of the thesis discusses the related rule of environmental protection under WTO and gives some evaluations. We can forward that the attitude WTO towards environmental protection is gradually changed. And now it much more emphasizes sustainable-development. This article also considers that trade and environmental protection can develop harmoniously.The third part mostly construes the status of environmental protection that our country confronted, especially in environmental protection legislation. So we must consummate our related laws to accommodate with WTO and protect our environment during the course of trade expansion. The last part gives suggestions to the third part. Our country have joined into WTO for 5 years and performed our promises responsibly. In the year transitional discussion, the performances of China get widespread applause of member's country. But China also confronts huge pressure of environment. The related laws are not perfect enough, which are different from the request of WTO, so we must go on to make great efforts to consummate our environmental laws, and take positive measures to deal with the environmental issue in international trade. Then we can exert more predominance in the complicated international competition.
