The concept of China Threat in US can trace back to late 19th century when the White Chauvinism (WASP) generated waves of anti-Chinese movements, targeting Chinese emigrants in the states during that time. After the establishment of PRC in 1949, the Red Threat emerged and this concept was characterized with ideology, which was antagonistic towards the so-called Red China. After that, there were five rounds of anti-China movements in the states to the date. These movements were closely associated with historical backdrops and American inbred bias and hypocrisy towards China. Some Americans from the administrative, political, academic and media sides were in the pursuit of Pax Amemica. They uttered various rhetoric of China Threat in order to get support from international community and to safeguard their ever-expending American national interests. The China Threat in America came back in 1990s. The latest wave, from 2005 till now, carries some new features. The waves of "China Threats" after the end of the Cold War can be categorized into ten different theories as China Military Threat, Economic Thereat, Resources Threat, Food Crises Threat, Environment Threat, Hi-Tech Threat, Espionage Threat, Soft-Power Threat, Ideology Threat and New Nationalism Threat. Those groundless anti-China rhetoric caused huge damage to China's international image. The US carried out comprehensive strategy to deal with Rising China and encircled China both in economic and military terms. The China Threat plotted by some Americans has caused harm to China's security and hampered the process of China's reunification and distorted China's image. So, it is paramount for China to take effective measures to reduce the damage by the China Threat in the US.
