Socialist Harmonious Society With The Trend Of Youth Work

Harmony, the ideal state pursued by human beings for thousands of years, has been considered as one of the major goals by the successive people in power in governing a country. At the critical moment of China's reform and development, the CPC central committee proposed, timely and clearly, the strategy and goal of building a harmonious socialist society, fully demonstrating Chinese people's basic interest and shared aspiration. I is increasingly attracting the attention of the people from all walks of life to understand the real meaning and fundamental demands of harmonious society, and to put into full play of each sector in building harmonious socialist society. In the light of the demands of building harmonious socialist society, this paper analyzes the objects, contents, means, modes and carriers in the work of Communist Youth League organizations. It aims at expounding the inner relations between the harmonious society and harmonious youth by clarifying the role of the youth as a whole and identity of the individual youth, and putting forward the working plan in agreement with the demands of harmonious society.This paper is designed to explicate the thought resources of harmonious socialist society, demonstrate the meaning and characteristics of harmony, work out the junction between harmonious society and youth work, and put forward the views on the developing trend of youth work in the process of building harmonious socialist society.This paper is composed of the following four parts: theoretical backgrounds of harmonious society; the main characteristics of harmonious socialist society; harmonious socialist society's enlightenment on the youth's social role; and the developing trend of harmonious socialist society and youth work.This paper summarizes the harmonious socialist society's characteristics in terms of system, value orientation, and environment of interpersonal relations, organizational state, operation mechanism, and ecological construction by comparing a variety of thoughts of harmonious society at home and abroad. Looking back to the roles played by the youth in different historical periods in pursuit of democracy, advancement and prosperity, and in the promotion of China's social progress, this paper lays emphasis on the concrete tasks in constructing the youth's new roles against the backdrop of harmonious society. It clarifies the junction between the youth work and the theme of the harmonious society by connecting the harmonious society construction theory and the practical youth work. Besides, based on the consistency between the work of the youth and CPC in different historical periods, it elaborates the youth work's trend of developing in the face of challenges in the process of harmonious socialist society construction. The secretary of the Tianjin City Communist Youth League has a high opinion of the ideas put forward in this paper, some of which have been published in the book Building Harmonious Society and Developing Youth Work by Tianjin Academy Social Sciences Press.
