Terrorism Research

With an unprecedented impact, the American "9.11" shook the entire world. As a by-product of the social crisis and non-traditional security factor, terrorism has become a serious impact on the world peace and stability. Countries in the world have different strategic countermeasures to deeply analyze its characteristics and laws, and studied deeply on how to take measures to curb the rapid development of terrorism. This paper makes a more comprehensive exposition and analysis on several important problems from a practical and theoretical view. The full text is divided into six parts, with about35,000 words.The first part studies the origin and development of terrorism. This part opens the mysterious veil of terrorism based on its history from the ancient times to modern society, and from China to foreign countries etc.The second part studies the concept and features of terrorism. Starting from the Latin word "terror", this part studies the features and concept of terrorism and analyzes its characteristics from four aspects.The third part studies the category of terrorism. From its components, the current terrorism is divided into five categories. This part studies different categories of terrorism from pursuing ethnic separatism, the extreme right-wing terrorism, left-wing terrorism, the cult nature of terrorism, and religious nature of terrorism.The Fourth part studies the root and features of international terrorism. This Part deeply studies the root of international terrorism from social, political, ethnic, ideological and theoretical aspects, and concluded 7 characteristics of international terrorism which lays a key role for the counter measures. The fifth part studies the latest development trend of terrorism. This part sum up and conclude the latest development trend of terrorism by the way of using a large number of terrorist activities, which provide a good example for the countermeasures.The sixth part studies China's anti-terrorism tasks and measures. This part studies our country's terrorism conditions from terrorism in foreign countries. Combined with our country's current political and economic situation, this part analyzes the terrorist threat and the real condition in our country started with the basic conditions of the violent terrorist activities. Therefore, the author put forward the anti-terrorism measures China should take from strategic and tactical levels, which could provide blueprint for our country's counter-terrorism efforts.
