Study Of The Transition Of Social Stratification In China And Building A Harmonious Society

Stratification is one of the social important phenomena in transforming period in China, which has broken through original class pattern, and made social class structure diversification and complication. Owing to different economic positions, gap among different classes is widened gradually. If it were handled improperly, it would cause the opposition among the strata, even stir up the contradiction and conflict among strata and influence social stability and development. So it is necessary to carry on the research to the social stratification in transforming period in China to study ways and measures satisfied with the benefits of various strata, which has the realistic significant meaning to fully arouse the activity of various strata, to strongly develop productivity and to construct harmonious society. This dissertation is divided into three parts totally:Part one: Analyzes the present condition of the social stratification in China in transforming period. Interprets the connotation of the social stratification; demonstrates the performances of the social stratification in transforming period in China and discusses the reasons of the social stratification in transforming period in China in the aspect of economy, politics and culture.Part two: demonstrates the social stratification have the dual influence on the harmonious society construction. Social stratification is advantageous to social development and progress on the whole, which has had much positive influence on the construction of the harmonious society: it is advantageous to the rapid development of economy; to the stability of society; to the construction of democracy and rule of law and to the liberation and comprehensive development of human. However, social stratification has also had some negative influence on the construction of the harmonious society, which has put forward rigorous challenges to social fairness and justice, social coordinated development and social stabilityPart three: discusses the countermeasures to push the harmonious social construction in the background of the social stratification. In order to answer positively and deal with the new circumstances and new problems properly caused by social stratification, promote the social stratification reasonably and push a harmonious society construction, we have to set up the idea of fairness and justice firmly, develop productivity strongly, cultivate and expand middle stratum and build up and consummate the benefit coordination mechanism among different strata.
