At present, there have been some works and papers on the folk lawof the people who belong to Liangshan branch of Yi ethnicgroup. Maybe, we can epitomize what the authors studied this subjectconcerned into two question, one is the stage what it in, the other iswhat's the legitimacy of it in the today's modern time. But,unfortunately, lacking of the kind of the interests which Morlgol holdwhen he studied the ancient society, people who studied first questionusually fell into simply verifYing the phrase the folk law of the peoplewho belong to Liangshan branch of Yi ethnic group in, but no workhas proved the details of how this kind of law can be developed totoday's modern law. the. People who tried to answer the secondquestion is some how made more progress in domestic sphere oflearning. As the studies such as law and society, ethnic law progressed, these scholars applied more methods to their studies. But in my opinion, the order is the mainly focus for people who studied one society's lawgenerally, whatever the kind of the society is. so the focus of this paperis also the order, put it explicitly, is to answer it, from the proceduresight, how a society like the people who belong to Liangshan branch ofYi ethnic group work, hardly without mandatory law. In anotherwords, to study how the procedure make his own contribution to thisvery order. In particular, there are four part in this paper. The first part is the question and material, introduced the particulararea and verified it is a typed order without law area; and then illustratewhy the procedure sight is proper. The second part expounded four procedures in the folk law of thepeople who belong to Liangshan branch of Yi ethnic group: "jjily"(consensus),"zy sse"(messenger)and whine, "mop" (themediater), and the last procedure "ssot".mainly show what theprocedures, and how they work, why it can work. The third part thickly described the characteristic of the procedure, andanalysed it with theories. The last part must be conclusion. but in this part, I haven't tried tosay something great, what I want to say is just one fact: each having itsown meanings, the governmental law and the folk law of the people whobelong to LIANGSHAN branch of Yi ethnic group is predestined tocan't understand each other, and so tragedies will continue, if they eachcontinually lives in its meaning word.
