| Geopolitics is defined as a kind of politics, economy, culture and military relations between countries or regions, which is mainly generated by geographic elements. As one of the important factors influencing the international relations of modern society, it is attached with great importance by the political, economic and military strategies carried out by main countries and groups in the world. As for China, northeast Asia is all along the important aspect of China's national security. The Korea peninsula lies in the core of Northeast Asia. The great significance that the Korea peninsula gives to China's national security first comes from its unique geostrategic position.China plays more and more important role in the Korea peninsula issue. Especially after the emergence of North Korea nuclear problem, China actively carries on the mediation and consultation among North Korea, South Korea, Japan, the United States and Russia, and actively participate in the "six-party talk", which in some degree successfully keeps the situations of Korea peninsula away from deterioration. Therefore, studying the geopolitics of Korea peninsula has a far-reaching significance in further promoting China's status and effect on Korea peninsula issue, relaxing the situation of Korea peninsula and maintaining security, stability and prosperity of our country's northeast area.The thesis begins with the theory of geopolitics and the outline of China's security strategy, and next analyses the relationship between geopolitics and security strategy, and then examines the Korea peninsula geopolitics in detail, including its status and the major influencing factors(America, Japan, Russia and China).After that the thesis researches into the influence that the Korea peninsula geopolitics brings on China's security strategy and the roles that China plays in Korea peninsula issue.
