The first part, through the geopoliticalpoint of view, explores the Korean peninsula’ important significance to the United States,the second part, detailed analyzes the changes and adjustments in United States’ Koreanpeninsula policy in different periods, and their influences in the situation on the Koreanpeninsula, reveals the important role of United States factors in the Korean peninsula,and put forward some proposals for the future developing of the situation on the Koreanpeninsula.Since the peninsula divided, the United States’ factor has become one of the mostimportant external factors in the Korean peninsula, which delay the process of peacefulreunification of the Korean peninsula. Due to the United States repeatedly stresses realization of globalization interests, constantly adjusts the Korean peninsula policy toensure the leading position of the Korean peninsula.
