On the basis of the past study, the paper researches the self-control of the juvenile delinquents. The research has theoretical foundation of "A General Theory of Crime", which was puts by Gottfredson and Travis Hirsch, and some research of self-control and the theory and skills of group training; meanwhile, the paper combining the results of some survey.Based on these researches, this study tries to use group training to improve the self-control of juvenile delinquents, including the improvement of cognitive skills and the changes in the master, at the same time to prove that group training is a effective mean in improving the self-control of juvenile delinquents, then, we can supply some experiences to judicial system on criminals' group training.In the paper, first, we made a questionnaire of self-control of juvenile delinquents, then the author has designed a set of group training courses surrounded by the topic of self-control, which intervene the juvenile delinquents' self-control. Through the evaluation of the group training to test the author's assumptions.The results show that: (1) Juvenile delinquents' self-control is lower than General juvenile's;(2) After group training, juvenile delinquents' score on "self-control scale " has decreased comparing before the intervention, that is their self-control has improved;(3) After group training, juvenile delinquents in the minors of self-control is manifested in the improvement of cognitive skills and the changes in the master.According to the above-mentioned results, the paper puts forward the following Advices on:(1) to focus on the education and guidance of juvenile delinquents' self-control; (2) to teach them some practical skills ;(3)to enhance juvenile delinquents' degree of education. |
