The negotiation of building up official diplomatic relations between China and Britain, started in 1950 and ended in 1955 with the two agreeing on constructing the agent-level relations , made a precedent of "semi-diplomatic relations".While focusing on this particular negotiation, This paper will also analyze influences of culture, communication and cognition by using the methodology of negotiating which are still affecting recent international relations.The main task of This paper is to describe the analyzing theory of diplomatic negotiations by reviewing the whole process in details and state the reasons why normal relations could not be reached in this negotiating process.In conclusion, the author clarifies that it's the exclusive national interest of the two countries and misunderstanding and distortion of information that caused the failure to establish normal official relations . |
