Sino-U.S.Diplomatic Relations Between The Two Countries After The Civil Impact Of Foreign

On January 1, 1979, the two biggest countries of the world at last achieved a relations normalization after a more than thirty years ice-bound period.Sino-U.S. relation is one of the most important and complicated bilateral relations in the world in the mean time. As population and territory, and the overall national strength and international prestige are concerned, China and the Unite States are both major countries with significant influence in the world. And after years of practice, it has been proved that the healthy development of Sino-U.S. relation not only coincides with the fundamental interests of the people of the two countries, but also is of vital importance to the peaceful and stable development of the world. Thus, the issue of Sino-U.S. relation has long been a focus in the academy.People-to-people diplomacy is an important part of national diplomacy, and has important theoretical and realistic significance. As the world's largest developing country and the world's largest developed country, China and America share common interests in the economic, political, cultural aspects, and in many other aspects. Inevitably, there exists disagreements and divergences upon these issues due to the differences on the pursuing of their own strategic interests, the way of observing the world and the standard of judging true and false, on the other hand. A study on the role and effect of people-people diplomacy on the development of Sino-U.S. relation is, therefore, necessary and valuable.This paper aims to put forward some decision-making suggestions for the development of Sino-U.S. people-to-people diplomacy by observing and analysing its historical developmental course and important factors that influence the course of people-to-people diplomacy development by paying specially attention to the period of history ranging from 1979 to the present.
