The shame sense culture is not only the typical character of Chinese traditional ethic culture mode,but the cultural origin of building socialist views of honors and shames. The views of honors andshames on the basis of the shame sense is essentially a kind of strong spirit impulse to encouragethe people to worship the honors, downgrade the shames and promote the good, resist the evil. It isemphasized in Chinese traditional philosophy that the action motivation plays a decisive role inthe moral evaluation and lives. It is also emphasized to treat others kindly, qualify yourself,organize your own family, father your kingdom and conquer the world. This character is especiallyshown in the shame sense of Chinese traditional philosophy, which is the fundamental opinion onhonors, shames and the social value of a person, a nation and a society.In this paper, the relevantideas on traditional views of honors and shames will be reviewed, its real value will be analyzedand its disadvantages will be discussed. Also, it will be changed with modernity or rebuiltrationally and its value and significance will be shown in order to provide the demonstration ofmoral philosophy for understanding the scientific connotation of socialist views of honors andshames and provide historical experiences for improving the its education.
