Connotation And Modern Value Of The Traditional Concept Of Honor And Disgrace

The shame sense culture is not only the typical character of Chinese traditional ethic culture mode,but the cultural origin of building socialist views of honors and shames. The views of honors andshames on the basis of the shame sense is essentially a kind of strong spirit impulse to encouragethe people to worship the honors, downgrade the shames and promote the good, resist the evil. It isemphasized in Chinese traditional philosophy that the action motivation plays a decisive role inthe moral evaluation and lives. It is also emphasized to treat others kindly, qualify yourself,organize your own family, father your kingdom and conquer the world.
