The Historical Role Of The Modern Women's Liberation Movement And The Contemporary Revelation

Chinese women's liberation movement began in modern times, from the late 19th century to the early 20th century Chinese women's liberation movement has been the course of centuries until now. Hundred plus years, China has always been the emancipation of women and the country and the nation are closely linked fate. Contemporary China, in the party and under government's concern, woman liberation is developing toward the depth direction.Using the society gender research method, re-examines and summarizes the modern Chinese women's liberation movement in the light of experience gained and lessons, constructs the sex harmony, the equality of the sexes Chinese characteristic socialism modernization powerful nation regarding us to have the important theory significance and the reality instruction function today."Emancipation of women is a natural measure of the social development". Through the course of centuries,women's liberation in our country has made world-acclaimed achievements. However, because of women's liberation movement of our country are at the special semi-feudal semi-colonial historical context, the response to the needs of the revolution was put on the agenda of history, it took the top-down road of Chinese-style, with the victory of revolution , although women as a whole has also been on the political emancipation , the road of women's liberation which was covered by ethnic, class liberation had a lot of gender blind spots and neglected the awakening of women's main sense, and the gender level order had not been eliminated.With the further development of the socialist market economic system reform and the impact of the capitalist thought ,the long-term covered deep-seated gender contradictions increasingly become an important factor that constrain women's further liberation and impact the social development. For the main problems and mission that the contemporary women's liberation is facing , only by re-examining the history of women's liberation in our country, exerting the tradition resources of women's liberation, basing on China's national conditions, absorbing the world's useful results of the emancipation of women, creating favorable conditions for women's liberation from all aspects ,can we further promote the development of women's liberation movement and create gender harmony in the community.This article is divided into five parts:Chapter 1 describes the background and significance of this study in detail, and puts forward my own research ideas and methods, based on the expounding and analysing of present research on women's liberation movement. Chapter 2 studies comprehensively on the historical background of the rise of women's liberation movement in modern China, paving the way for the below-depth study.Chapter 3 makes a detailed elaboration and pectination of the historical process of the modern women's liberation movement, to show the grand picture of modern women's liberation movement. And Sums up the history characteristics of modern women's liberation: under the double historical mission against modern imperialism and feudalism, the modern Chinese women's liberation movement with the complexity and difficulty, leads the Chinese-style top-down road with a masculine tendency, led by the government and linked with the National Democratic revolution.Chapter 4 systematically dissertates the historical status and roles to a historical perspective: as an important part of the bourgeois-democratic revolution in modern China, women's liberation movement continuously pushed forward with national and class liberation intertwined interactively. And analyzes the limitations of its history: the modern women's liberation movement did not and could not completely remove the root on the traditional gender system which has become relics of history and impacted so far.Chapter 5 makes a few contemporary inspirations ,at the conclusion of the historical achievements and lessons of the women's liberation movement in modern history. This article holds that, in view of the main problems and mission faced by the contemporary women's liberation ,based on the historical experiences and lessons of modern women's liberation movement, we should take measures in four areas: strengtherning government leadership and improving the awareness of women in the main, reconstructing the theoretical paradigm of women's liberation and promoting substantive cooperation of men and women to creat favorable conditions and promote the further development.
