SJKC Damansara Save Our School Movement took place in Kuala Lumpur suburb of Petaling District, Damansara NewVillage. SJKC Damansara, a Chinese primary school with over 70-years history was shut down by the Government for far-fetched reasons.Villagers of Damansara New Village launched "Save Our School Movement", which lasted for nine years and finally achieved its goal_re-open the original school in 2009.SJKC Damansara Save Our School Movement, as a fight launched by the grassroots against the powerful Malaysia authorities, had continued for many years and ultimately gained victory. After analysis, this paper confirm that:From a macro point of view, the framework of movement based on cultural identity-Chinese Education Movement is the main driving force of the persistent resistance of SJKC Damansara Save Our School Movement; From a micro-level point of view, a complete set of sustainability mechanisms is also key to promote the sustainable contention. These mechanisms include:a strong mobilizing organization, diversified mobilization strategy, sound insulation mechanism, routine methods of protest.
