Research On Bai’s Cultural Memory From The Perspective Of Chinese Cultural Identity

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the 2021 Central Ethnic Work Conference:"The main line of the party’s ethnic work in the new era must be to consolidate the awareness of the Chinese nation’s community,and promote all ethnic groups to firmly respect the great motherland,the Chinese nation,Chinese culture,the Communist Party of China and China.The high recognition of socialism with characteristics has continuously promoted the construction of the Chinese nation’s community." It can be seen from this discussion that the"five identities" are the core of the consciousness of the Chinese nation’s community;General Secretary Xi Jinping also pointed out that "cultural recognition is the deepest level.Identity is the root of national unity and the soul of national harmony.That is to say,Chinese cultural identity is the foundation of the "five identities".Taking the relationship between cultural memory and cultural identity as the logical premise,this paper discusses how to use national cultural memory to shape Chinese cultural identity.Based on the field investigation in Fengyu Town,Eryuan County,Yunnan Province,this research mainly discusses the following issues: First,the relationship between cultural memory and Chinese cultural identity.Second,the traditional cultural memory of Fengyu Bai people.In this paper,it is divided into three types: oral memory,document memory and ritual memory.Oral memory mainly includes myths and legends,stories of gods and characters,etc.,which reflect obvious Chinese cultural identity;document memory mainly includes local historical materials,family genealogy and stone inscriptions,etc.,reflecting the process of local social culture absorbing Central Plains culture.,the connotation of Chinese cultural identity is also constantly expanding;ritual memory mainly includes the Thousand Buddhas Association,the Benzhu Association and the National Blessing Ceremony,which reflects the deep integration of the three religions and local culture,and is a relatively mature stage of Chinese cultural identity.Third,from the research on the traditional cultural memory of Fengyu Bai people,it is found that different types of traditional cultural memory shape the Chinese cultural identity of the Bai people in Dali,and the cultural memory of ethnic minorities in southwest China is very important in forming,strengthening and consolidating the sense of community of the Chinese nation.effect.This paper mainly uses the methods of in-depth interviews and participatory observation in field work to systematically collect and sort out the rich oral memory,documentary memory and ritual memory of the Fengyu Bai people.An in-depth analysis of the traditional cultural memory of Fengyu found that it constantly shaped the identity of Chinese culture.This study believes that fully excavating,sorting out and utilizing the cultural memories of various ethnic groups and shaping the Chinese cultural identity will lay the foundation and promote the consciousness of the Chinese nation in frontier ethnic areas.
