The implementation of home leave policy has appropriatly solved the problem caused by the long-time seperation between employees and their family due to work reasons. It has accelerated the rapid progress of national economic construction and benefited the workers'welfare. It is a highlight in the nation's humanistic care. However, after 29 years of implementation, the current policy has met the economic restructuring in this country. With the rapid development of the national economy and general improvement in people's living standards comes tremendous trasformation in the aspects like state economic system, ownership structure, leave policy, and traffic tools. Under this circumstance, the current home leave policy has appeared to be unfair, blur and unsuited. Therefore, while retaining the policy, the government is urged to clarify the importance of home leave policy and conduct further amendment and improvement. So as to protect the rights of employees as well as promote the harmonious development of economy and society. This essay will combine documents and questionnaire survey on the two aspects of employers'demand on home leave and current home leave policy conducted by the author to thoroughly expoundthe significance of retaining home leave policy.
