Democracy, in the "exporting democracy" strategy of the United States, means "American-style democracy". Therefore, the "exporting democracy" strategy refers to that the United States exports its democratic system to other countries. The United States always describes itself as the representative of democracy and freedom. Thus, "exporting democracy" is considered as her exclusive mission to be undertaken. American thinking and policy direction, including her "exporting democracy" strategy, of course, has been being influenced by her deep-seated ideological and cultural tradition. However, the economic and political interests are the key motivation which causes her "exporting democracy" strategy today. After the Cold War, both the content and the form of the American "exporting democracy" strategy have advanced so much, and some new features have taken on. For America, the fundamental goal and real motives of her "exporting democracy" strategy is establishing the leading position in the word, because the U.S. is the leader of course in the present world order constituted by democratic countries. After the Cold War, as the sole superpower, American overall strength ahead of other countries, makes her think that she can complete the objectives immediately. For he pant isocracy ruled by America, U.S. makes great efforts to increase the "exporting democracy" strategy. The Clinton administration and the Bush administration have strengthened this strategy after the Cold War, making this policy presents some new characteristics. Form now on, the promotion of democracy has been the preconditions of its global security interests. In order to achieve her interests, she implements this policy in Latin America, Middle East, Africa and many other areas in different ways vigorously. The "exporting democracy" strategy, for American and her target countries, will bring some adverse impacts. For Obama government, the foreign policy of transmitting its values and exporting its democracy system has not changed. May be in the foreseeable future, the United States will continue to pursue a policy of exporting democracy.In this article, the first chapter discusses the origin and evolution of the U.S. "exporting democracy" strategy, introducing democratic concept of the American-style and origin of "exporting democracy" strategy respectively. The second chapter discusses the evolution and characteristics of "exporting democracy" strategy after the Cold War, introducing the United States "Exporting Democracy" motivation and the strategy of the Clinton administration and the Bush Administration respectively, generalizing the new characteristics of this strategy after the Cold War. The third chapter takes Latin America, Middle East, and Africa for examples to analyze some specific situation. The fourth chapter describes the impact of the United States "exporting democracy" strategy and its trends, and forecasts the future of this foreign policy.
