A Study On The Barack Obama Era's American Democracy Exporting Strategy

Thanks to the unique geographical culture background,the United States established the first bourgeois democracy republic regime of human civilization.Output of American democracy is one of the most important diplomatic strategies,including exporting American democracy system,political values and ideology,etc.American democracy was spread all over the world through various channels,in order to make the other countries form similar democratic institutions and values to the United States.American democracy output has its profound ideological origin.The cold war ended with the Capitalism camp's victory,which was regarded as one of the most successful cases of American democracy output.After the collapse of the Soviet Union,the United States democratic output increased steadily.From George.Bush and Bill.Clinton to the George·W·Bush,American democracy output gradually reached its peak.George·W·Bush's crazy democracy output made the United States face with political and economic crisis,even caused the grim situation for America at home and abroad.After Barack Obama came to power,the government made some adjustment to the democracy exporting strategy.Under the guidance of "smart power" strategy,American democracy exporting strategy became flexible.The Barack Obama government's democracy exporting objects are still all countries over the world.However,due to the rise of China and Russia,the United States' democracy exporting area focus on the Middle East Arab,Asia Pacific region's China and Burma,Central Asia and Eastern Europe countries,especially in Ukraine.Barack Obama era's American democracy made some achievements,but the effects are poor.The essence of American democracy exporting is still maintain hegemony,which determines it brings great influence to America itself,to the great power's relations,to the peace and stability of exporting countries,therefore,has great impact on the world peace and stability.In this paper,the first part introduction,including the research background and significance,the research status both at home and abroad,and illustrates the research methods and innovation of this article.The first chapter mainly elaborates the output of American democracy,including the related concept definition,output the theoretical basis of democracy in America after the cold war and the historical development.The second chapter focuses on the general situation of Barack Obama era's American exporting democracy strategy,including the background,"smart power"strategy and the output methods under the guidance of "smart power"strategy.With typical cases,the third chapter detailed the democratic output performance of the American democracy,mainly in the Middle East,Asia and eastern Europe.While,the last chapter talks about two points,makes a brief evaluation of American democracy exporting strategy,and analyzes the influences of democracy exporting strategy for America itself,the power relationship,the impacts on international peace and security.
