Analysis Of The Eu Peacekeeping Operations

With the deepening of European Integration, EU is speeding up its military integration by establishing united military commanding office, putting forward complete security strategy and building rapid response force. This shows that EU is gradually forming its force independent of NATO. EU is gaining more power in global affairs and becoming a polarity through promoting European Integration and joining regional and overseas peacekeeping operation.EU follows the following principles of peace keeping operation: to respect international laws and other countries, to strengthen cooperation and combination of military and civil methods; to put importance to the promotion of European systems, ideas and values.The EU peace keeping operation also has its problems. For example, within the EU countries they have different opinions and backward coordination system. The military coordination is not good enough and the U.S limits its military action.
