In 1998, India conducted nuclear test openly, and its impact on international relations was far reaching. Indian political environments changed greatly both in domestic and international level , and this laid the groundwork for Indian foreign policies on China. So it is no exaggeration to say that, Indian nuclear test in 1998 was a hallmark event of Indian China policies, and after that Indian policies on China appealed to mature and rational. The Vajpayee administration and the Manmohan singer administration shared highly consistency in their foreign policies on China, and their foreign policies on China were much more practical than before. Both Vajpayee administration and Manmohan singer administration had strengthened bilateral co-operation with China in many aspects, and Sino-India relationship developed quickly under the guideline Of the Strategic and Cooperative Partnership for Peace and Prosperity. However, the Indian have an ingrained mistrust of China, due to historic issues, boundary problem, Tibet issue, Pakistan problem and big powers'effect, and all these are unstable factors between China and India .Therefore, this paper will try to analyse the characteristics of Indian foreign policies on China, and efforts also will be made to talk about Indian future policies on China objectively.
