Study Of Ethnic Issues In Taiwan's Political Landscape

The Taiwan issue concerns China's core national interests,we must pay attention to this problem. In recent years,the DPP and the "Taiwan independence" forces have continued to manipulate the ethnic issue,stir up opposion among the people of Taiwan, provocate and stimulate the Chinese Mainland,attack the motherland and the KMT and other Taiwan Pan-bule Forces,in order to obtain political benefits and split the motherland. Taiwan's ethnic problems which has attracted more and more people concerned about it, has a great impact on Taiwan society.And it is also a great hazard in Taiwan. Nowadays, in Chinese Mainland, academics who study this question is relatively small.There is no comprehensive, systematic and in-depth analysis of Taiwan's ethnic issues in Chinese Mainland.Research in this area should be strengthened. Taiwan is a multi-ethnic living areas which has multi-ethnic culture. Taiwan's ethnic problems directly affect the development of cross-strait relations.In-depth understanding of Taiwan's ethnic problems is very important.It plays an important role for us to develop cross-strait policies to promote cross-strait peace and stability.Ethnic groups in Taiwan is different from the traditional ethnographic definition of "native" sense of the ethnic groups,it is with a distinct political and constitutive colors.The classification of Taiwan's " four main ethnic groups" isn't based on the different nation, but mainly based on the difference between "Languages","The different time they go to Taiwan" and "Historical Memory".According to these three points, the people in Taiwan can be roughly divided into four ethnic groups,such as indigenous people, mainlanders,minnan people, Hakka.In the era of authoritarian rule, ethnic issues are politically taboo.The difference between the four main ethnic groups were temporarily suppressed, the general public concerned the ethnic problems very little,and the scholars also rarely addressed this issue. The rise of ethnic consciousness in Taiwan is relates to Taiwan's "democracy movement",Hakka movement, indigenous people movement, the manipulation of the DPP and "Taiwan independence" forces.Due to historical and contemporary reasons, Taiwan's " four main ethnic groups,"the contradictions between the existence of the former Han Dynasty, provincial conflicts and contradictions in the three symmetry contradictions, these contradictions and disputes, as well as the use and manipulation of political parties on this, so that ethnic problems occupies an important positionin Taiwan's political life, it became a tool for mobilizing voters.It influents the political parties'policies,cross-strait relations,the Taiwan public "national identity",etc.The different ethnic groups have a more obvious differences on cross-strait relations,the views and the "national identity".This article, the author from the development of political science perspective, the integrated use of positivist research methods,history, sociological research methods, document analysis,will be placed in ethnic problems in Taiwan's political context of the pattern of a study by Taiwan's "main four ethnic groups".The origin and status of the analysis, leads to ethnic groups in Taiwan between the three pairs of main contradictions and disputes,and then analyze the factors which affecting Taiwan's ethnic problems and ethnic issues and the interaction of Taiwan's democratization and ethnic factors in the role of elections.And also in-depth analyze that the ethnic problems how to influent people's "national identity",and the cross-strait relations.At the end,the author will explore the path of reconciliation between ethnic groups in Taiwan.
