In recent years, our country attached great importance to vocational education, vigorously develop vocational education, the teaching of vocational education is facing unprecedented challenges. Under the impact of more and more students go to the high school in the whole society, vocational schools face with biogenic shortages, decline in the quality of the students. It is an embarrassing situation. The most prominent problem is the contradiction of teaching and learning, making the end result is that the students get nothing, severely affected the development of secondary vocational school. In order to resolve these contradictions from the root, the most critical thing is to start from the students to find out the root of the problem, I believe that the main factor is that a huge number of secondary vocational school students lack of the motivation to learn mathematics. Motivation to learn is the internal power to stimulate and guide students to learn. Motivation has a critical influence on the whole process of learning and the results of learning mathematics. Therefore, to stimulate the motivation of students in mathematics is particularly important and urgent.In this paper, I used the questionnaire survey method and the conversation method. Investigation and analysis conclude that two main factors affect the motivation of secondary vocational school students to learn mathematics. One is the internal motivation, that is, the students themselves. The other one is an external motivation, including three areas .They are the school education, the family and the social factors. For the family factors and social factors is hard to control or measure, so no research in this paper. Therefore, this article studies from the students themselves and school education, to find strategies to foster the motivation of students to learn, and enable them from the "weariness" to "studious", from "studious" to "learn happily". So that the learning attitude of the students will change a lot. Students can develop the ability of subjective activity of learning. These strategies include.(a) By allowing students to experience the breadth of application of mathematics to stimulate internal motivation for learning mathematics.(b) Help students develop self-confidence, improve self-efficacy.(c) To help students on the proper attribution, avoidance of doubt, to maintain motivation.(d) Teachers should constantly improve ourselves, from the transformation of teaching ideas to improve their own quality, using a variety of teaching methods to enhance the classroom interesting and train students interested in math.(e) To establish a good teacher-student relationship, to achieve the effect of "students love the teacher, they also believe the teacher". At the end of the article , the author analyzed the application effect of the motivation to stimulate policy in mathematics teaching practice through the teaching experiment.
