Motivation to learn math is a psychological tendency that related to math study caused by some kind of necessarity. It has a function of activation, selection and enhancement with math. Educational practice and educational psychology research findings indicate that the level of their motivation not only affect on their study results but also play the role of migration and generalization in their future study. Generally Vocational school students have low activeness in math study,unclear learning motivation and unsatisfying result.And this in turn affects their study on other subjects and major courses. Therefore, as a first-line math teacher in a secondary vocational school,he can survey motivation to learn math of vocational school students and research the inspired strategy. It has a great direct significance to improve the math teaching for vocational school students and to improve students'mastering math knowledge of application effectively.For these reasons, on the basis of sorting out related motivation theory,the author carried out a questionnaire and individual interviews with some teachers, summed up some tendencies of their learning motivation,and then put forward in accordance with a six-point strategy to stimulate learning motivation.With the theory based on the facts, the author starts and comparative study of experiments of two classes:early childhood education class 1 and 2 in 2006.The author put early childhood education class 1 as an experimental object,and consciously use methods and strategies to culture and motivate learning motivation of students and practice boldly.Then the author can have the comparative analysis with class 2 and get some encouraging results:①Students overcome feelings of fear of difficulty;②Significantly improve student achievement;③So that students have harvested;④Teacher and students can promote teaching and studying between each other.⑤The correction of motivation to learn math can promote the study of professional development and so on.Through this study, the author tried to analyze the state of math learning motivation of vocational school students.Then it can provide practical methods and ideas that are helpful to promote motivation to learn math of students for many fist-line teachers in their practical tesching process.And it is also helpful for effective teaching, and realize the good wishes of enlightenment in theory and practice.
