In 2001 the Ministry of Education promulgated the Basic Education Curriculum Reform (Trial), and request changing(achieving gradual reformation) on presentation of course content, methods of learning and teaching and the way of teacher-student interaction. As a method that people exploring the nature, experiment is leading the advancement of the technology and development of the society. Comparing with physics, chemistry and other subjects in senior school, there are few geographical experiments because of the characteristics of the subject. Geographic experiment is a new teaching method, and exploration is its one of important properties.Thermal circulation is not only the basis of geography teaching content, but also the important knowledge. It has many forms, such as the monsoon circulation and the valley wind. It is typical of experimental teaching geography in middle school. So I selected "thermal circulation" as a case in the discussion of experimental inquiry. As the basis of experiments, I analyzed the thermal circulation of knowledge logic, the cognition of students before learning and teaching. In addition I made the classroom experiment design; analyzed the problems generated in the process, and expanded the discussion of experimental inquiry. With the actual situation, I adapted the original programs to strengthen inquiry of the thermal circulation, hoping to achieve the teacher-student interaction.
