The article tries to test and analyses the use of Geography Information System (GIS) in geography inquiry learning in middle school.The article investigates the use of GIS in the inquiry learning from the studying method, necessary and the practising way in the inquiry learning in geography teaching. The article explicates briefly the intension of GIS, explores its education function and develops the advantage of GIS in geography inquiry learning. Take the factor of position of district of city traffic central , the task of the study of exploration for example , the article encompasses whether to practise the study of exploration using the education function of GIS and to do equal contrast test. The result of the test suggests that using GIS in geography study of exploration in middle school has its feasibility and distinct advantage, meanwhile, it explains the problems which be studied and solved in the test.
