Nowadays, with serious ecological crisis in front of the human beings, environment education for the public, middle school students in particular, becomes extremely urgent task of the teaching staff, and the most essential, important way can be carried out in the school. In high school teaching, environmental knowledge is mainly covering the subjects of biology, geography, chemistry, physics, etc. rather than history. However, the my point of view is that the various materials in history can give special advantages if conscious environment education is carried through in high school history teaching.This thesis consists of five parts:Part One: the introduction. About the reasons and meanings and the current situation of the relevant study of the environment education in history home and abroad.Part Two: the connotations of the environment education and the targets of the environment education in history, which are to make the concept of environment education clear, to play the unique role of history, to correct the wrong understanding that environment education is only about the environmental knowledge, as well as to achieve the emotion , attitude and value of the environment education.Part Three: the value of the environment education in high school history teaching. Pointing out the necessity and feasibility of the environment education in high history teaching. As history teachers, we should discover and make full use of the resource about environment education in history, and then give the students profound lessons to cultivate their consciousness about environment protection, enable the value of high school history teaching in environment education obvious.Part Four: about deficiencies of the environment education in the present high school history teaching. For the relative shortage on the environment history in the textbooks and not drawing teachers'attention, environment education in history hasn't been developed yet.Part Five: about the ways of the environment education in high school history teaching. It's we history teachers'important task given by the times to carry out environment education in history teaching, as well as an important attempt of keeping pace with the times and implementing caliber-focused education. How to carry good education out in the history teaching needs the following: history teachers must enhance their own competence of environment protection ,fully discover the substances about environment education in the textbooks, adopt proper teaching methods in the class to spread active sense of civilization and zoology, also can organize open lessons, which is also called teaching practical activities, to give students opportunities to make on-the-spot investigation on the natural environment transition with the development of the history so as to strengthen the sense of environment protection, and see into the ecological civilization.All in all, implementing environment education in high school history teaching must be able to make some contribution to our environment protection. I hope my study on this subject will play a part that is called baiting a piece jade with a brick, a Chinese old saying (pao zhuan yin yu), meaning serving as a modest spur to induce someone or something to come forward with valuable contributions.
