Disasters happened frequently,and there are many major disasters occurred in history.These disasters have had an impact on social development.Based on the serious situation of the disasters in the world and the existing problems of realistic disasters China is faced with in the process of development,middle school students,as the main force of future ecological civilization construction,need to be given the disaster history education urgently.This can strengthen their correct understanding of disasters and the overall perception of the development course on human civilization,and make them understand the close relations between the development of human society and natural environment,so as to form the correct concept of disasters,history and civilization.Although the history of natural disasters in China is involved in the current history textbooks(PEP)in the middle school,but there are some existing problems,such as small amounts of disaster history content,brief introduction and scattered distribution.And it is not the key teaching point.Besides,disaster part mostly appears as historical events or the background of historical materials without special subject about the introduction of disaster history.So these situations like the disaster history isn't paid attention to,the disaster examples aren't typical,and the description and classification of disaster is not clear,hinder the education of disaster history for middle school students.According to the results of questionnaire and interview on the middle school history teaching,there are some problems in the education of disaster history,such as unclear teaching aim,neglect by teachers,and little class proportion.More importantly,most of the history teachers lack cognition of disaster problems.These can directly affect the students' disaster awareness and ability.And the problems reflected in the survey are closely associated with insufficient content of disaster history in textbooks,so the education of disaster history needs to be strengthened urgently.Taking advantage of historical materials to give disaster education to middle school students in the middle school history teaching makes students fully understand the influences of disasters on economic and social development and people's productionand life,This can improve the students' awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation,which also requires educators to take the corresponding optimization strategies;Revise the curriculum standards,clarify the teaching aims of disaster history,optimize the structure of textbooks,supplement the teaching content of disaster history and build a systematic knowledge of disaster history in the construction of ecological civilization and a new round of curriculum reform;Integrate the teaching resources of disaster history and develop the school-based curriculum of disaster history according to the reality of local situation and disaster resources;Reform the teaching methods of disaster history,absorb the multi-disciplinary teaching advantages,preform the Interprofessional Collaboration model.These can help to explore the new approaches to teaching disaster history and direct the disaster history teaching using the items of entrance examination for secondary school or college properly.Besides,using the historical materials properly contributes to the teaching design.The improvement of disaster history content in textbooks,the integration of disaster history resources and the reform of teaching methods can stimulate the students' exploration spirit,popularize the knowledge of disaster history and raise the students' awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation to achieve the teaching goal of disaster history education.
