The competition in the 21st century is the knowledge competition, talents competition. Nurturing creative talents has become one of the most important educational goal. Art course has the unique effect in training students'creative ability. It is also made clear in The Primary and Secondary Art Curriculum Standards that the personality and creativity in education should be highlighted. To fully mobilize students'learning enthusiasm and cultivate their creative ability is a brand new subject worth further research in art education."Mind Map" is proposed by famous British psychologist, " Mr Brain of the world", Tony Buzan in 1960s. Mind mapping is a mode of expression for divergent thinking, hence the natural function of human thinking. This is a very useful graphics technology, is the master key that opens the brain potential. Based both on the theories of Tony Buzan's Mind Map and Professor Yin Shaochun's theories about art education, this paper Mind Map Used in Middle and Primary School Art Teaching is studying how to use Mind Map in four key learning areas of the primary school and secondary school art education.This paper first discusses the application of mind mapping at home and abroad in primary and secondary schools in the teaching of art to make clear about the effectiveness of this study.
