Promoting home-school interaction effectively is an important issue which contributes a lot to help primary students to develop healthily. Hence, in order to realize modernization of fundamental education initiatively in shanghai ,how to fulfill the efficiency of home-school interaction with the purpose of promoting harmonious development of primary students both in physics and mental is an important measure which should be studied seriously. In order to figure out what to communicate and how to collaborate between home and school, it is needed to explore the factors which contribute to the effectiveness of home-school interaction and further more work out corresponding strategy that is helpful.Combining method of document analysis ,the methods of this research include questionnaire, interview and the subject is a primary school named S which locates in the suburbs district. In this school, all of teachers and students'parents are given to questionnaires and parts of them were interviewed. Through doing this, it is attempted to discover factors which have positive influence on home-school interaction, work out corresponding strategies and implication on how to improve home school interaction to schools in other developed areas like shanghai.Through this research, five positive trends were found in interaction between home and school in shanghai: importance of interaction between home and school were realized gradually, the educational activities of parents tend to be planned by schools, diverse instruments and forms were applied to interaction between home and school, comprehensive development of students begins to be emphasized, information from interaction between home and school begins to be transferred both to school and parents. meanwhile, there are also five problems in interaction between home and school, notions in interaction between home and school need to be enhanced, contents in interaction between home and school are unbalanced, ways of interaction between home and school are not creative, new access to get information in interaction between home and school need to be explored, long term system of interaction between home and school has not formed.Results from this research indicate that factors contributing to home-school interaction include: establishment of notions in home-school interaction, realization on right and obligation in home-school interaction, formation of home-school system, subjective difference from people in interaction, selection of way to interact, and activation of evaluation on interaction. Based on results from this research, it is recommend that in order to develop effectively home-school interaction, it is critical to establish right belief and effective organizations in home-school interaction , improve laws and regulations relevant to home-school interaction, enhance positive media advertisement, correct people's behaviors in home-school interaction and establish effective evaluation system .
