Students' Political Participation In A Harmonious Society

Since China's reform and opening up policy for more than 30 years, the democratic political construction has made great development, especially the citizen participation in politics, which added infinite vigor for the development of democracy in China. A harmonious society needs various social decisions with benign interaction between national power and civil rights, which requires an information interaction bridge between government and citizens. This bridge is citizen politics participation. For effective citizen politics participation can make each citizen's political participation through rational and equal way in government decision. So citizens have freedom of expression of individual opinion, reflect interest demands and safeguard and realize citizens'political rights.As one of the main body of citizen's political participation, college students' political participation shows the characteristics of their own, in which one is a positive rational side and the other a passive side. In the process of comprehensive implementation of the scientific development concept and building a socialistic harmonious society, college students'actively and orderly political participation is the realization of their harmonious development and the important link of the harmonious development of the society. The important aim of the ideological and political educators is to find healthy and orderly political participation way, to cultivate college students' correct political participation aware and guide students to make rational political participation behavior by combining the current social reality of the students' political participation and analyzing the influential factors in harmonious society.This paper has four parts content:The first part is to elaborate political theories of harmonious society and students' participation. Firstly, it annualized harmonious society of socialism thought history origin and theory; secondly, it defined political participation and the students' political participation concepts; then it analyzed the intrinsic connection between college students' political participation and harmonious society's. These are this research foundation.The second part of this paper was the instructions'of basic conditions of college students' political participation under harmonious society and elaboration of existing problems. Through empirical analysis it concluded that college students' political participation had four basic conditions, and then for empirical and realistic situation it researched the existing problems in detail, including the four aspects.The third part was to analyze and explain the factors affecting the university students' political participation, including four aspects, such as individual, family, school, and social reality. Each factor included many concrete aspects. This part is the key and the route choice for providing the basis. The fourth part was to explore the theory on improving college students' political participation countermeasures in the current under the perspective of harmonious society. Through improving the system construction, creating good social environment, strengthening the ideological and political education and improving college students' own political quality, university students' rational political participation must be implemented co-coordinately.
