The Influence Factors And Countermeasures Of Contemporary College Students' Political Participation

College students' political participation is the behaviors aiming at participating in political life and influence government decision-making acts, which is implemented by college students through various legal approaches and channels. College students' political participation is propitious to promoting political socialization, improving college students' political quality, creating a stable political environment and the heritage, development and innovation of socio-political cultural. The mainstream of contemporary college students' political participation is positive, healthy. They have a relatively higher level of political cognizance, political participation enthusiasm, political responsibility and political discernment. However, there are many problems requiring urgent solution, like political awareness fuzzy, political apathy, the wrong political participation motivation, the differentia between political participation awareness and behaviors. Solving these problems correctly is the significant task to improve the students' political participation ability, implement college students' political socialization.There are extensive influential factors on college students' political participation, including objective factors and subjective factors. The author deems the environmental objective factors have an important influence on college students' political participation awareness and behaviors which include that socio-economic development, political system, political activities, political culture and ideological and political education in university, family circumstance ,the mass medium especial the internet , peer groups' environment. On the other hand, college students' individual subjective factors can also influence college students' political participation, including political tropism, political psychology, political temperament, political character and political abilities. All of them affect the contemporary college students' political participation individually, however they are also mutual penetrated interacted and integrated as the resultant force political participation.Basing on the analyzing of the influential factors, in order to advance the contemporary college students' political participation level, the author put forwards some pertinencal suggestions. Firstly, the correlative departments and people should enhance the ideological and political theory education, make a great effort to cultivate college students' political participation awareness, secondly, a better political participation condition should be provided through the construction of the harmonious environment, Thirdly, we should lead their political participation developed healthy by put the Party and the Communist Youth League into play. Fourthly, we should strengthen the lead on peer groups' to make full use of their positive function in college students' political participation.
