With the development of society and knowledge economy, needs high-level personnel should be needed, graduate education have become an increasing concern. Graduate education in the United States after a hundred years of development, the entrance examination system formed a unique system, by contrast, the graduate education history of our country is short, the examination system is in the continuous reform and perfected. Therefore, learning advanced teaching concepts and the U.S. experience, enabling a clear understanding the gap between the graduate enrollment system in the United and our graduate enrollment system in China, at the same time, to learn the advanced experiences and models of United States, to further reform our current graduate students enrollment system, even give constructive suggestions,to make our graduate enrollment system was further improved and towards modernization.In addition to the introduction, summary and thanks, this paper is divided into five parts:The first part mainly from the perspective of history, expounded graduate education and enrollment system development history of China and the United States. In this paper, the enrollment system of U.S and China graduate education were respectively described, focusing on areas from the entrance examination system to reflect the development history of graduate education between the two countries. The course of development from the two countries can be seen through entrance examination system from scratch, never a sound to the sound process. Graduate education is the steady development in the United States, and its entrance examination system is gradually improving; the development of graduate education in China more twists and turns.The second part summarizes the two countries each graduate enrollment system characteristics. On this basis, the paper then summarizes the characteristics of the system about US and China.Then elaborated on China and the United States system of the current characteristics of graduate enrollment.The third part on the basis of the previous sections, using the method of comparative, conducted in-depth comparative analysis of Sino-US differences in graduate enrollment system, mainly compared from the four areas:enrollment plan management system, reporting system, examination system, enrollment system, reflecting their different characteristics. In the enrollment plan, the United States to market demand as a means of regulation, adopt a "decentralized" approach to management. China's main means of instruction is planned, to take "centralized"; in the reporting system, the U.S. has very flexible characteristics, China has more restrictive; in the management of the entrance examination, the United States tend to specialization, more professionals in graduate enrollment and management, administration of the Chinese tend to administration, at all levels of administrative staff responsible for graduate admissions exams leadership, organization, standards; in the content of the exam, the United States stressed the comprehensive ability of the inspection, China the emphasis on basic knowledge of the investigation; in the admission criteria, the U.S. focus on a comprehensive measure, China will focus on examination results; in the taking of the object, the United States "outward-looking eyes," to recruit talent from around the world, and China more "inward-looking eyes ", stressed the themselves, for their personnel training.The fourth section discusses the U.S. graduate enrollment system to China. U.S. Graduate admissions as the system developed model for success has its strengths, which we can take reference on China's reform of the graduate entrance examination system, this section summarizes the main Graduate enrollment system the United States give to China.Part V on the basis of the above reference, proposed reform ideas of graduate enrollment in China for the performance of graduate enrollment system disadvantages.In this paper, a basic form of method is comparison, analysis and discussion the subject of American graduate enrollment system, hope that these constructive comments will help China to further improve the graduate admission system so that the entrance examination system in China more improved, more scientific, more equitable talented people.
