The new curriculum reform has transformed the dominate situation that one syllabus only satisfies one textbook into a new pattern that one curriculum standard can satisfy several textbooks. The reform has come up with many new points in using the textbooks. It demands that the teachers should use them critically and creatively instead of irrigating knowledge. The challenge of New curriculum system is how the teachers can use the textbooks properly and how they can make pointed changes in the whole teaching process. Different from the secondary development of textbook use in the past, the semester curriculum integration demands that the teaching design should be the plan for the whole teaching system. Considering the characteristics of the learners, the teaching aims, the learning contents and the features of each part of the teaching system, it raises a specific teaching scheme.This study tries to change the traditional opinion on textbooks of many teachers and make them use the textbooks creatively by integrating the textbooks according to the demands of the learners and their cognition level, then attempts to find an effective and proper way of integrating the existing textbooks. Meanwhile, the study aims to stimulate learner's interests in math learning and optimize both the way of learning and the teaching model, and improve the efficiency of math teaching in junior high school in the end.In this study, the semester curriculum integration is operated by designing the dimensions of integration first, and then specifying the integration process within each dimension. The main practice of integration includes: the formulation of the semester curriculum integration guide, the integration of the teaching contents, the integration of learning methods and learning skills, and the integration of moral education and subject teaching .The study provides an analysis of the preliminary results of applying the semester curriculum integration in Junior High School Maths. Finally, the study sums up the principle of methods of applying the semester curriculum integration in Math in junior high school, as well as the problems that should be noted and those unresolved ones through this research. The study suggests that the practice of semester curriculum integration not only can lead to the alternation of the teachers'teaching concept and upgrading of their professional level, but also to the improvement of the students'learning methods and enhancement of their interests and performances.
