The geography new curriculum reform proposes to renew the teaching idea, optimize the study content, change the study way, encourage the development of evaluation and raise, analyse and apply the geography information accomplishment. Besides, it suggests cultivating students' independent study and exploring the spirit of learning and cooperation in order to adapt the increasingly intense competition in the information age for education development. Under this new background, the effective teaching research and the information technology and the curriculum integration research become the current curriculum reform concerning problem. However, at present, the application of information technology in education is also backward, especially that it hasn't showed the actual teaching effect in effective teaching. This article tries from information technology and curriculum integration perspective, from the curriculum resources development, the study scene establishment, the study way application, learning evaluation feedback and teachers' teaching reflection and so on, to analyse and research information technology's incomparable superiority in geography effective teaching by the means of the combination of meathod and teaching experiment. The article also explores how to use different modes aiming at different study content to truly achieve the goal of geography effective teaching, summarizes the three main modes of the information technology applied in the geography teaching and discusses the valid factorsinfluencing the integration of information technology and geography curriculum. Then, for middle school geography teachers in information technology and geography courses integration and enhancing the effectiveness of teaching the article provides the ideas and direction to promote the information technology more widespread and more scientific effective application in teaching. Meanwhile, it improves the geography teachers and students' information accomplishment and technical level to meet the needs of the times.
