As an innovative system, China's whole nation system of athletic sports has the advantages to utilize and combine all kinds of resources. This is the strongest support and assurance for China to ascend into world power. It has been found that whole nation system is the common tool for both planned and market economy to realize nation interest. To the developing countries, whole nation system holds the advantage of backwardness, and it can achieve maximum efficiency by socialism.This article chooses China's whole nation system of athletic sports as research object, setting it in the background of China's sports management system. Firstly, it will analyse the origin of this sports system in the historical context. Secondly, the author will discuss its contribution to China's athletic sports under-takings and its deficiency in actual operation.
