Along with the strengthening work of the Chinese language CouncilInternational,the trend that the learners become younger is more and moreevident.Developing verbal communication skill is the goal of the second languageteaching,so,the oral language teaching in this area has its own uniqueadvantages.Improving teaching efficiency and enabling students to learn in a relaxedatmosphere become the focal point of Chinese teaching research.Chinese teaching forprimary school students is different from the adults.It should be built on thepsychological characteristics of children themselves.In recent years,game teachingmethod which is prevalent has been widely recognized in the teaching of Chinese.Andour Chinese teachers constantly enriched and improved it with their own practicalexperience.Game teaching method brings the variety of games into the Chineseclassroom to stimulate students ’ learning motivation and interest in order to achievethe desired effect.Application of game teaching method in Chinese classes is a goodtry and also effective.Chinese language teaching,particularly the oral Chinese teaching,teachers should live up to teaching through lively activities and making the contenteasier.Thus,teachers can use this kind of teaching philosophy and practice to enhancethe students ’ desire to learn,and engage students to keep lasting motivation andinterest in Chinese.This article firstly introduces the present situation and existing problems of oralChinese teaching in Thailand Bangkok approval school.Secondly,it recalls theprevious theories from three aspects:constructivism, theory of cognitive developmentand young children’s theory of second language acquisition research and various typesof game are categorized.Then it points out the necessity and feasibility of the gameteaching approach.Through the actual cases of the games teaching methods that Imyself used in Thailand primary school and the specific analysis on the primaryChinese classes using games teaching methods,I put forward the principles that theteaching approach of games must adhere to.Hope this article can help the otherteacher who will teach the oral Chinese in Thailand’s primary schools.Also,hope it canbring some enlightenment to Chinese teaching afterwards, so the Chinese teachingcan achieve a better results in the future.
