Teachers are the direct executor of educational activities, which will inevitably affect the quality of teaching effectiveness, thus people pay more and more attention to it. Teaching leadership, one of the many qualities of teachers, is the combination of various kinds of abilities by applying the teacher’s personal charm, teacher-student interaction and so on. Therefore, teaching leadership has important research value.This study adopting the method of the students’ questionnaire and teacher interview selects a middle school in Nanjing as the research object in order to investigate the teachers’ teaching leadership. The finding shows that there are some problems in the teachers’ teaching leadership. The teachers’ classroom planning aspect gives priority to the study of the teaching material rather than the needs of students; Teachers’ classroom instruction pay little attention to inspire a shared vision and ignore improving students’ self leadership ability; Teacher’s classroom atmosphere aspect focuses on the maintenance of the relationship between teachers and students and ignores the creation of good classroom atmosphere; Teachers’ classroom influence aspect pays too much attention to their own model force and motivating force, but it’s still necessary to further improve the communication and coordination force. In a word, there is still a lot of room for the improvement of teacher teaching leadership.Teachers’ teaching leadership is influenced by many factors. First, the teacher’s own knowledge, ability and personality will affect Teachers’ teaching leadership; secondly, the situation of interaction between teachers and students is also one of the factors that affect teachers’ teaching leadership. Such as teachers’ ability to give students enough opportunity to complete the task independently, learn to share power and bring up students a sense of responsibility, etc, finally, school leaders’attitude towards teachers also affects teachers’ performance in teaching leadership; In addition, student’s own knowledge, skills and learning habits also have an impact on the situation of teaching leadership.Teachers strive to improve their knowledge, teaching ability and improve the personality; Participate in teaching activities. What’s more, both teachers and students should take part in teaching activities, which makes them inspire a shared vision, share power, and enough the hearts. All these activities can create a good classroom atmosphere for teachers’ teaching leadership. Then lead students to cultivate a solid knowledge foundation and form good study habits and learning attitude, etc.; At last, improve school cultural environment; We can create a good atmosphere for the improvement of teachers’ teaching leadership with the aid of the President’s support, the mutual cooperation of teachers and the improvement of teachers’ evaluation ways.
