| Game teaching is a quite important teaching technique in English learning, and it is indispensable and useful for English teaching in primary school. However, we found there are a lot of problems when teachers design or operate the games, which can effect on. the result of game teaching directly. The research is aimed at investigating game teaching in English class in primary school and exploring a better teaching model which is beneficial to promote the students, helping more teachers understand the related concepts to find some solutions to the problems in the game teaching.According to the investigation of the English teachers and students from different primary school, the author realizes that we should find out the reasons caused the problems and solve them as possible as we can. So it is also an observation report of the English game teaching in primary school which adopts some research methods, such as questionnaire survey, attending classes, case analysis, etc. The author selects six typical cases from the large number of classes cases as follows:the simplex organization, time uncontrollability, the neglection of forming good habbits, aimlessness, inappropriate level of difficulty and mechanical training.In order to solve these typical problems and make full use of the game teaching in English learning, teachers should focus on the students’interest and the ability of language. The author proposes the following six principles to solve the problems: diversity, controllability, instructiveness, purposefulness, comprehensiveness and heuristic. The author expects to ensure the smooth implementation of primary school English game teaching and make the classroom teaching more efficient with the principles. |
